Agnes's Story

Agnes M. Hammock of the Holly Pond community departed this life for heaven on Feb. 22, 2017 Agnes passed away at the Cullman Regional Medical Center after a long illness with leukemia. Services for Mrs. Hammock will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman, Pastor Ron Woodward officiating.
Agnes was born March 5, 1935, in Jefferson County, to James Monroe and Missouri McCombs Lowery.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis Adron Hammock; three sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include a sister, Flora Dunn of Birmingham; a brother, John Lowery of Cullman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hammock was retired from Meadowcraft Corporation where she worked as a welder manufacturing patio furniture. Agnes attended Center Point Baptist Church near Holly Pond. Agnes loved the Lord God and was a Christian example to those around her.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
