Life celebration services for Chawanee Usaha Intraboona, 69, of Hanceville, will take place on Wednesday, July 12th 2017, at 10 a.m. At Hanceville Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Reeves and Brother Bill Ellis be officiating with an interment at Garden City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 11th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Mrs. Intraboona went to be with The Lord on Friday, July 7th 2017. She was born on January 1st 1948 in Bangkok, Thailand to the late Promp and Mae Tong Usaha. She was Born Again in Garden City, Alabama in 1986.
In her early life, Mrs. Intraboona worked for the Thai government. She taught the English language in Thailand as well. In America, she attended and received degrees from Wallace State Community College, Athens State University, Alabama A&M University and Samford University Ministry Training Institute. She taught at Hayden Elementary School and loved her students and fellow teachers dearly. She was a faithful servant of The Lord and taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible school for many years. She was the most loving, giving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, mother in law and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Samboon Intraboona; daughter, Anna Usaha Intraboona and her husband, Wesley Quick; son, Arnold Intraboona and his wife, Elisa: grandchildren, Collin Quick, Olivia Intraboona and Logan Intraboona and a host of other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Garden City First Baptist Church Childrens Ministry or the Laodicea Free Will Baptist Church Bus and Childrens Ministry.
