Deloris Jean Hall


Deloris Jean Hall went to be with the Lord, peacefully at her home, on Saturday, June 27, 2019 at her place of residence in Cullman county. She was born September 12, 1935 to Mary Smallwood George and James Ted George in Morgan County, Ala. She was married to Herschel (Bill) Hall on June 23, 1952. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Arab, Ala. where she was an active member and served as the head of the senior group there until she was unable to attend due to health issues. She was an avid crocheter and gave back to the community through donations of handmade hats to local schools and homeless shelters during the winter months. She could out craft anyone and collected Nativity scenes and clocks as they brought her a lot of joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ted and Mary Smallwood George; brother, Jimmy Smallwood; and two sisters, Janice Brindley and Bettye Bolding.
Survivors include her husband, Herschel (Bill) Hall; three daughters, Lynn Hall, Sheila David, and Carol Helton; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 followed by the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Austin Ball officiating. Burial will be at the United Method Church in Fairview, Ala.
