Dorothy's Story

Dorothy Aileen Gosler, 90, of Tuscaloosa passed away April 27, 2017, at Forest Manor.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Raymond Walter Gosler.
She is survived by her children, Anne Gray (Brian) of Tuscaloosa, Jean Ponder (George) of Cullman, and James Gosler (Trudy) of Las Vegas, Nev.; her grandchildren, George Ponder (Debbie) of Birmingham, Michael Ponder (Zonya) of Hartselle, Sarah Gosler of Los Angeles, Calif., Matt Gray (Ritchie) of Dallas, Texas, and Adam Gray (Katie) of Thompson's Station, Tenn.; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. One of 12 children, Mrs. Gosler is also survived by three brothers, Major, Doug and Harold Bradford, all of Kentucky; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was born in Elkmont and was raised in Bowling Green, Ky. She never met a stranger and always had a story to tell or advice to share. She was a woman of abiding faith and is now at peace where she can stand tall and no longer has pain.
Loving gratitude to Drs. Arti and Anand Pandey for their endless compassion and care and for being a part of our family. To the wonderful staff at Morning Pointe Assisted Living, thank you for providing a nurturing and caring home for the last four-and-a-half years. Also, a special "thank you" to the staff of Forest Manor Rehab West and Forest Manor station 3 for their kindness, dedication and care, as she transitioned to her final journey.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cullman Cemetery with Moss Service Funeral Home directing.
