Faye's Story

Text size

The life of Faye Swindoll will be celebrated with family and friends with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Moss Service Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, at Cullman City Cemetery.
Known affectionately as "Gran," her passion in life was taking care of her family. Born Feb. 27, 1940, to Enoch and Minnie Jones, Gran was a lifelong Cullmanite. In high school, she met the love of her life, Larry "Pop" Swindoll, and those crazy kids married as teenagers in 1957. Two years later, they started a family which grew to include Keith, Jamie, Sandi and Patrick. Gran and Pop celebrated 58 years together until his death in 2015.
She is survived by her children, Keith (Jill), Jamie (Jackie), Sandi Allred (Larry), Patrick (Lisa);
10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The word that sums up Gran was "selfless." She put everyone before herself. Kind, gentle, a true servant leader. She found the good in everyone and amplified it. Always smiling, always giving, always caring. To know her was to love her. And she loved you, too.
