Harlon Dew Hyatt
Mr. Hyatt was born on August 30, 1936 in Cullman, Ala. In 1955, he graduated from Addison High School. Harlon served in the United States Navy for 13 1/2 years during the Vietnam War. Harlon and his wife Frankie owned and operated Frankie's Clothing Store in Jasper, Ala. for 32 years. He was member of Beltline Church of Christ. Along with riding his jet ski, playing dominoes, and watching sports, his most enjoyable time was spent with all of his family.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at Double Springs Church of Christ, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Vance Hutton will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Addison with military honors.
Harlon is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frankie Hyatt; daughter, Patti Newsom and her husband Gerald; daughter in law, Tamyra Hyatt; brother, Gary Hyatt and his wife Martha; and sister, Patrinka Baccus and her husband Steve. He was "Grandaddy" to 4 grandchildren, Tasha Jones, Christen Adams, Gerald Thomas Newsom, Owen Hyatt, and 6 great-grandchildren, Kayli Jones, Chase Jones, Abby Newsom, Cole Newsom, Mary Hyatt Adams, and Molly Adams.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Hyatt; and parents, O.D. and Vergie Hyatt.
