Funeral services for Homer I. Parker Jr., 91, of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Caleb Cunningham officiating, with interment in Cullman Heritage Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Parker passed away Feb. 6, in Oxford, Fla. He was born June 15, 1925.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Parker and Verla Parker; a sister, Leslie Allison; and a brother, Leldon Parker.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife of 67 years, Virginia Patterson Parker; daughters, Marilyn (Charles) Freeman and Janet (Ronnie) Putman; grandsons, Lee (Heather) Freeman, Brian (Chelsea) Freeman and Dillon (Jessica) Putnum; great-grandchildren, Charlie (Courtney) Freeman, Jacob Freeman, Benjamin Freeman, Chloe Putnum, Daniel Freeman, Sarah Freeman and Zachary Freeman; and a great-great-grandchild, Wyatt Freeman.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.
Pallbearers will be Greg Campbell, Leon Bentley, Herlon Callan, Harold Smallwood, Kenneth Nail, Roger Humphrey, Joe Craig and Wayne Walker.
