Funeral services for Kerry James Duke, 55, of Welti are at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with interment in Welti Cemetery.
Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hanceville Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Kerry was born July 20, 1962, to James and Elna Von Kilgo Duke. He was co-owner of Affordable Automotive. He was a lifelong resident of Welti and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He passed away Aug. 5, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and grandparents, Handley Duke, E.E. and Reba Kilgo.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Merry Quick Duke; two daughters, Sara and Pruett Allen and Hayley and Jeremiah Duke; grandson, Henry James Allen; father, James and Joyce Duke; brothers, Jon and Lisa Duke and Kelly and Randa Duke; sisters-in-law, Sherry and Kent England, Debra and Rick Freeman, Margaret and Larry Creel and Joyce Burks; grandmother, Ruth Duke; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jon Duke, Kelly Duke, Tanner Duke, Russ Davis, Blake Drinkard and Eric Maynor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Margaret Jean Jones Center, 1807 Beech Ave. SE, Cullman, AL 35055.
