Marilyn Sue "Susie"'s Story
Marilyn Sue Denson, 67, of Decatur, passed away Sept. 25, 2017, at her residence.
She was born April 28, 1950, in Houston, Texas. Susie graduated as salutatorian from Addison High School Class of 1968 and went on to receive her master's degree from UAB School of Nursing. Susie worked at Children's Hospital in Birmingham for 30 years where she served as Assistant Director of Nursing and Nursing Supervisor. Susie enjoyed singing and spending time with family. She loved going to Alabama football games. Susie also loved going to the beach and traveling all over. She was a lifetime member of Addison Church of God.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Addison Church of God, where services will be at 4 p.m. Pastor Rodney Ridgeway will officiate. Burial will follow in Nesmith Church Cemetery.
Susie was survived by her daughter, Tiffany Wehby and husband Matt; sisters, Patsy Wilson and Andrea Pruett. She was "Grammy" to two grandchildren, Lillian Wehby and Lola
Wehby; a niece, Wendy Isom: nephew, Jimmy Wilson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owel and Bernice Denson; and brother, Connie Lee Denson.
