Funeral service for Rickie Lynn Hill, 61, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at Eva United Methodist Church, Bro. Jeremy Oden and Bro. Paul Rivers officiating, with burial in Eva Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hill passed away Friday, Sept. 1, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He was born June 9, 1956, in Blountsville to Albert Hill and Dallie Parson Hill.
Mr. Hill was a member of the Spirit Life Church of God in Cullman. He was a hardworking, skilled craftsman and carpenter. He owned R&G Home Improvements and was a jack of all trades. He loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He was always eager to help others, therefore, his employment at Huntsville Hospital as a Cardiac RN suited him. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He fought an 18-month battle with leukemia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Hill; a son, Gabriel Lynn Hill; three daughters, Amber Nicole Hill, Brandon Michelle Hill Lowe (Michael) and Savannah Ceceilia Hill; four sisters, Elouise Hill Hays (Jessie), Patricia Hill Kelley (Billy Jack), Janet Hill Hightower (Joel) and Cathy Hill Dorning; and a grandchild, Noah Mason Lowe.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Hays, Jon Oden, Doug King, Michael Lowe, Billy Kelley, Joel Hightower, Chip Roland, Tom Grindell and Alex Childers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home.
