Lacie retired from the Cullman County Health Department. After retirement she continued her life of service to others as a Pink Lady volunteer at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Canning vegetable soup, green beans, and apple jelly were her specialties. Her lemon icebox pies and fried apple pies were legendary. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She loved Southern Gospel music and good preaching. She cherished her life-long friends from Northside who were so faithful to call and visit her during her final years. Lacie's faith in God never wavered.
While a resident at Morningside Assisted Living, Lacie continued her hobby of raised-bed gardening and attended all the social activities. Bingo for quarters was the highlight of her day. She always enjoyed a good sale at Belk. When she transitioned to Gadsden Health Care she began a new hobby of intricate coloring. She was adored by her family who lavished her with love.
The family would like to thank the residents and staff at Morningside Assisted Living and Gadsden Healthcare for making her final years so happy.
