Matt Russell Cook, 39, of Arley entered into rest on Oct. 12, 2017.
He was born on April 7, 1978, in Jasper. Matt was a 1997 graduate of Meek High School. He was a bricklayer for BAC Local 8 for 19 years. Matt loved spending time with his beloved daughter, hunting, fishing and gardening.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be at 2 p.m., Rev. Jonathan Uncapher officiating, with burial in Arley First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Matt is survived by his daughter, Khloie Gale Cook; parents, J. Mitchel and Deborah Cook; brothers, James Todd Cook and his wife, Janet Marie, Clifton Lawrence Cook and his wife, Dana Gayle; grandmother, Wanda Noleca Cook; nephew, Jadon Connor Cook; nieces, Caleigh Jayne Cook and Ava Mae Cook; and a host of many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Lawrence Cook, and Sim and Opaleen Calvert.
