Funeral services for Opalene E. Hooten, 90, of Cullman, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, at Corinth East Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery, Pastors Ronnie Jetton and Sherman Bailey officiating.
Mrs. Hooten passed away Aug. 10, at home. She was born Feb. 2, 1927, to Gus Ottis and Rosa Estar Eddleman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Vera McDermond; and three brothers, Willis, O.D. and Edward Eddleman.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Clyde Wesley Hooten; two sons, Gary (Candace) Hooten and Barry (Lynn) Hooten; six grandchildren, Shelly (Kent) Windham, Hesston (Ashley) Hooten, Haley (Tyler) Gary, Hayden (Thayane) Hooten, KIndra (Dwight) Edwards and Blake (Haley) Nail; 10 great-grandchildren, William and James Windham, Hayla, Hudson, Holden and Hayes Hooten, and Chloe, Gary and Avea Grace Miller and Parker Nail; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
