Robert Gerald "Gerry" Kreps, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Cullman on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Born in Cullman, he was the fourth of eight children and the oldest son. He enjoyed a long career in his family's business and with Canon, USA. But his life started when he met Concetta Lovoy, his best friend who he married and lived his dream with for 36 years wonderful years.
Gerry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Peter and Mary Gasser Kreps.
He is survived by his wife, Concetta Kreps; his sisters, Barbara Kreps Everest, Carlene Kreps, Linda Kreps Pauli, Kathy Kreps; and brothers, Jimmy (Kathy), Rickey (Jo) and Rodney; a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews; and one great-great nephew.
Gerry was a man who always gave back and was completely devoted to his family and his faith. If you knew him, you will remember his extraordinary humor and gentle nature. Gerry was truly a reflection of God's love. If he touched your life in any way, you were blessed, as God's love radiated through this man.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 26, with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Scared Heart Church, 217 2nd Ave. SE, Cullman. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, with interment services following at the Columbarium of St. Bernard Abbey, 1600 St. Bernard Dr., SE Cullman.
