Cullman, Alabama - Daniel Sweatmon, 89, of Cullman, passed away on August 11, 2020. He was born March 5, 1931, in Blount County, to Daniel and Emma Yancey Sweatmon.
Mr. Sweatmon loved to garden. He was an Assembly Worker, working for Americold for many years until his retirement, and also served our country honorable in the United States Army.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Emma Yancey Sweatmon; and his son Danny Ray Sweatmon.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine R. Sweatmon; daughter, Peggy Bates (Perry); stepson, Micky Cornelius (Darlene); five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 10 a.m., at New Hope #2 Cemetery.
