Darlene Williams Jarmon, 69, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at her residence in Bremen.

Celebration of Life services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Blooming Grove Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Rice's Chapel Cemetery in Sipsey.

Darlene was born April 14, 1948, to Francis and Lillie Phillips Williams of Bremen. She attended local schools and did post-secondary work in Religious Education at Baptist Bible Institute in Graceville, Fla. She was a faithful member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church of Jasper and was enjoying time to attend more services since she retired in 2017 from 20 years with Walmart in Birmingham. During her marriage, she lived near Boaz, and later made well-loved biscuits for Hardee's in Sumiton. Darlene enjoyed gospel music, reading and old films. She loved her friends, her church, and caring for her animals, and was known for her chocolate mousse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Lillie Williams; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

She is survived by first cousin, Terry Phillips Frost (John W.) of Bartow, Fla.; first cousin, Willadean Tucker of Bremen; and other Alabama cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Blooming Grove Baptist Church, 1804 Blooming Grove Road, Jasper.
