Delma Mary Hancock Obituary

Delma Hancock, 92, of Cullman passed away on February 11, 2025. She loved music and her dogs and was an avid sports fan who never missed an Atlanta Braves baseball game or a Crimson Tide football game on TV.

Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Earl Hancock; parents, Frank W. and Ivy Faulkner Coulson; sister, Joan Brinkley; and her great-great-grandson, Joseph Bankston.

She owned a successful childcare business and loved teaching, singing and playing with her little ones.

Mrs. Hancock is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Michael) Couch and Janet (Doug) Wix; son, Steven (Dawn) Hancock; grandchildren, Rachel Bankston, Faye (Bill) Dukes, Katie Couch, Shelby (James) Kahlau, Michael (Tanya) Spraggins and Alex Hancock; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Celebration of life services for Mrs. Hancock will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moss Service Funeral Home, Linda Martin officiating. Her family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
