Funeral services for Dwight Lee "D.L" Denton, 65, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Holly Pond Cemetery, Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating. Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Denton passed away Sunday, February 21 at Woodland Village Health Care. He was born October 9, 1944. He was a former employee for many years at the Cullman County Road Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Nerine Burks and one brother Kenyan Burks. He is survived by a son, David Denton; three daughters, Belinda (Junior) Miller, Kim (James) Hollis, Tabitha (Larry) McDaniel; three brothers, Wendall Burks, Wayne Burks, Richard Burks; a sister Bonita Gunter; five grandchildren, Chase Dean, Brian Hollis, Trent Hollis, Michael Denton, Jarrett Miller; and a host of family and friends.
