Cullman - Ellen Minton Hulgan, 75, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away Nov. 19, 2024. Funeral service will be at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at 12 p.m. Bro. Tim Dubberly officiating. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 22, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., prior to the funeral service in the chapel. The burial will be at Etha Cemetery (8417 Co Rd 1545, Cullman, AL 35058).

Ellen is survived by Junior Bailey; her daughters, Julie Minton Jackson (Darren) and Jamie Lynn Byram (Rob); two grandsons, William and Blake; and sisters, Linda Hitt and Carole Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.W. Minton and Robert Hulgan; her mother and father; and seven siblings.

Ellen worked for the Red Cross for many years, serving as Chapter Manager in Dekalb and Etowah counties. In 2002, she moved to Cullman and prepared taxes with Cupps Accounting, which she later purchased and ran for many years. Ellen loved God and served her church community faithfully. Her devotion to reading God's Word left a lasting imprint on her daughters' hearts.

Pallbearers will be Rob Byram, Darren Jackson, Denis Dye, Chris Dye, Aubry Minor and Roy Turney.
