Louise Christine Echols Prescott, 91, of Carbon Hill passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at Brookwood Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial in Pocahontas Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Jerry Boyd will officiate.

Mrs. Prescott was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Lee "Gus" Prescott; parents, Ottis Truman Echols and Trixie Divine Guthrie Echols; brothers, Minyard Echols, J.C. Echols, Buford Echols, Bobby Echols; sister, Betty Echols; and granddaughter, Rachel Prescott.

She is survived by her sons, Jim Prescott (Sybil) and Ray Prescott (Joyce); daughter, Sandra Prescott; granddaughter, Dana McCarver (Brent); great-granddaughters, Jordanna Gunter (Chase), Katie McCarver; great-grandson, Caleb Cooksey (Katie); great-great-granddaughter, Karli Cooksey; sisters-in-law, Pauline Haynes and Lorene Echols; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Haynes, Don Gray, Caleb Cooksey, Chase Gunter, Rod O'Rear and Robin Sterling.
