Mary Jo Overton Parker went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at age 77. She is survived by her husband, Robert Parker; children, Janice (Donald) Law, Mark Rhodes, Jeff (Heather) Parker, and Joey (Valerie) Parker; grandchildren, Jason Law, Madison Parker, Devon Parker, and Sophia Parker; great grandchildren, Macy Law and Tyler Law; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Jearldean Overton; her beloved, precious fur babies; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family and wonderful friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Katy Rhodes; grandchildren, Jered Law, Nick Rhodes, and Kristin Parker; parents, Bill Overton and Gladys Hendrix Overton; and sister, Sarah Quinn.

She retired from Americold and became a caregiver until she became sick. She loved her pets, traveling, yard sales, flowers, and people. She loved the Lord and her family above all and will be missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church in Gold Ridge Community with the service to follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Arrangements by Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home.
