Hartselle, Alabama - Mary Margaret Schwaiger passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born March 30, 1927, in Missouri, to Ralph Everett Duffey and Merle Marie Shaw Duffey. She was employed by St. Bernard, as a Gardener, prior to her retirement. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Leo Schwaiger, Jr.; her parents; a son, Paul R. Carnagey; her brother, Rev. Dale Duffey; and sister, Francis Croy.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date by her family.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
Survivors include her loving family.
