Eva, Alabama - Funeral service for Shirley Sheppard Barr, 68, will be Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barr passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born March 31, 1958, in Illinois, to LB Sheppard and Nellie Dean Parker Sheppard.

She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker for her family. She had painted several murals including one for Eva Elementary School, and was a graduate of Brewer High School.

Preceding her in death were her husband- Robert S. Barr, Sr., and her parents.

Survivors include: one Daughter - Leslie Sanders (Mike), a Son - Robert "Boomer" Barr, and a Sister - Sharon Childers.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
